What’s new

Queensland is now reporting hourly averages for PM2.5, PM10 and TSP (instead of a 24 hour running average).

Queensland Health has created 5 health action levels, presented in a colour indicator scale, to provide advice on what activities you can do, based on the hourly average concentrations of PM2.5 in the air.

  1. Download air quality data for either:

    Air quality data is available from 1 January 2016. Individual stations have been monitoring for different time periods so data may not be available for all possible times.

    Dates in downloaded data are in UTC time (previously called GMT). Queensland is 10 hours ahead of UTC (+10).

Historical data

Historical validated hourly air quality data going back to 2010 is also available on the Queensland Government data portal.
