Nestled on the south side of the Barron River lies an ancient wonderland called Buluwai. Buluwai is a landscape carved by water and weather over millennia to create a series of wild rivers with dramatic waterfalls from the steep escarpments to the forested valleys below. It’s a Country that has giant trees, a library with galleries of rock art, a bounty of native plants and animals, and where Traditional Owners still carry on the lores and customs of their ancestors.

Buluwai people maintain connection to Country through supporting activities in landcare, education and tourism to provide opportunities for the next generations.
