โ€œWelcome to the Rainforest People Country Culture interactive map.

This map showcases the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area through the eyes and voices of Rainforest Aboriginal Peoples and raises awareness of the cultural landscape which encompasses the rainforest of Tropical North Queensland between Townsville and Cooktown.

Take a journey with us through these short videos that will share Rainforest Aboriginal Peopleโ€™s ongoing connection to Country. They will educate viewers through their stories on a range of themes including best practice principles for engagement, caring for Country and culturally appropriate protocols when visiting rainforest Country.

The Wet Tropics Management Authority is proud to present this map in partnership with the SharingStories Foundation and Rainforest Aboriginal Peoples.

We hope you learn and enjoy.โ€
