Volunteer positions

  • Mon Repos Volunteer positions have been filled for the November 2017 to March 2018 turtle season.
  • You can apply in August 2018 for volunteer positions for the November 2018 to March 2019 turtle season.
Help deliver educational information to visitors at this important Pacific turtle rookery.


Mon Repos Conservation Park

  • Summer
  • November to March. Usually 1-2 nights per week from 6.45pm to 11pm. Some promotional activities may occur outside summer season.

QPWS registered volunteers

The project involves:

  • Public contact, customer service, education or interpretation
  • Research and monitoring
  • Weeding and/or revegetation (including plant propagation)

Training will be provided.

A low to moderate level of fitness is required.

Suits volunteers who live in the local area and have good interpersonal skills and enjoy talking with people. Three levels of training provided depending on volunteer role.

Contact rangers well in advance of the summer season.
