Find a volunteer project: Mon Repos Turtle Conservation volunteers—year round

Due to the current COVID-19 crisis, some of our volunteering programs are currentlymay be operating differently or on a limited basis, in line with social distancing and restrictions on travel. We encourage you to check with the local contact listed for each volunteering program to find out if they are currently operating.

Help deliver educational information to visitors at this important Pacific turtle rookery. This volunteer program supports the running of the Mon Repos Turtle Centre.


Mon Repos Conservation Park

  • Year round
  • Usually 1 day per week from 9.30am to 1.00pm. Some promotional activities may occur on weekends at community festivals and events.

QPWS registered volunteers

The project involves: public contact, customer service, education or interpretation.

Training will be provided.

A low to moderate level of fitness is required.

Suits volunteers who live in the local area and have good interpersonal skills and enjoy talking with people.

Contact rangers in August, well in advance of the summer season.
