Find a volunteer project: TREAT (Trees for Evelyn and Atherton Tablelands) and QPWS Lake Eacham Nursery

Due to the current COVID-19 crisis, some of our volunteering programs are currently operating on a limited basis, in line with social distancing and restrictions on travel. We encourage you to check with the local contact listed for each volunteering program to find out if they are currently operating.

Volunteer at the Lake Eacham nursery and with planting projects or education programs promoting natural corridors for native wildlife.

The project involves:

  • Public contact, customer service, education or interpretation
  • Weeding and/or revegetation (including plant propagation)

Training will be provided.

A low to moderate level of fitness is required.

A $24,963 Friends of Parks grant was made available for nursery upgrades in 2014.
