Find a volunteer project—Tumoulin Habitat and Biodiversity project

Help the Tableland National Park Volunteers rehabilitate, protect and provide access to a key forest environment.

Where?

Tumoulin Forest Reserve

When?
  • Year round
  • Activities held weekly.
For?
  • Club, community or special interest group project
  • Must be member of Tablelands National Park Volunteer Association.

The project involves:

  • Public contact, customer service, education or interpretation
  • Research and monitoring
  • Track work
  • Weeding and/or revegetation (including plant propagation)

Training will be provided.

The fitness level required will vary with different activities.

Good interpersonal skills of benefit, as are wildlife identification skills. Training in plant identification provided.

Projects include: mapping and forming access tracks; vegetation and fauna monitoring; research and writing booklets and installing signs.

A $24,984 Friends of Parks grant was awarded to this project in 2014.
