Description [RE not in use]²: This regional ecosystem occurs in the Mitchell Grass Downs bioregion and is now typically mapped as 4.3.17. Astrebla pectinata (Mitchell grass) tussock grasslands, occasionally with Acacia cambagei or Eucalyptus microtheca emergents. Astrebla elymoides in depressions. Occurs on plains on Quaternary alluvium; calcareous grey or brown clays. Not a Wetland. (BVG1M: 22b).

Mixed tussock grassland including Astrebla spp., Aristida latifolia, Eulalia aurea, Iseilema spp., Dichanthium spp. And Sarga spp. Occurs on alluvium within landscapes of Cambrian limestone and metamorphosed basic rocks. Contains Palustrine. (BVG1M: 30a).
