Short description Eucalyptus melanophloia woodland on metamorphics

Description Eucalyptus melanophloia, E. dealbata, E. albens +/- Callitris glaucophylla grassy woodland. Occurs on Mesozoic to Proterozoic moderately to strongly deformed and metamorphosed sediments and interbedded volcanics. Not a Wetland. (BVG1M: 17b).

Special values 13.11.4: Potential habitat for NCA listed species: Cadellia pentastylis, Macrozamia cranei, Macrozamia occidua.
Fire management guidelines SEASON: Autumn/Winter (Apr-Aug). INTENSITY: Low. INTERVAL: 5-15 years. INTERVAL_MIN: 5. INTERVAL_MAX: 15. STRATEGY: Burn < 20% of stands in any year, burning patches each year whenever possible.
Comments 13.11.4: Highly fragmented, remnants heavily grazed. Poor management can prevent recruitment of tree species. Increasing shrub and Callitris density in some situations.
