Short description Eucalyptus melanophloia woodland on metamorphics
Structure category Sparse
Description Eucalyptus melanophloia, E. dealbata, E. albens +/- Callitris glaucophylla grassy woodland. Occurs on Mesozoic to Proterozoic moderately to strongly deformed and metamorphosed sediments and interbedded volcanics. (BVG1M: 17b)

Fire management guidelines SEASON: Autumn/Winter (Apr-Aug). INTENSITY: Low. INTERVAL: 5-15 years. STRATEGY: Burn < 20% of stands in any year, burning patches each year whenever possible.
Comments Highly fragmented, remnants heavily grazed. Poor management can prevent recruitment of tree species. Increasing shrub and Callitris density in some situations.

1 Estimated extent is from version 11 pre-clearing and 2017 remnant regional ecosystem mapping. Figures are rounded for simplicity. For more precise estimates, including breakdowns by tenure and other themes see remnant vegetation in Queensland.
