Short description Eucalyptus blakelyi woodland on alluvial plains

Description Eucalyptus blakelyi grassy woodland or open forest +/- E. caliginosa +/- E. conica +/- E. bridgesiana +/- E. melliodora. Occurs on Cainozoic alluvial plains. Riverine. (BVG1M: 15b).

Vegetation communities in this regional ecosystem include:
13.3.1x1: Riparian shrubland on anastomosing stream channels +/- emergent trees such as Eucalyptus blakelyi, Eucalyptus bridgesiana or Angophora floribunda. Common shrubs generally include Melaleuca alternifolia, Leptospermum brachyandrum, Acacia floribunda and Acacia viscidula. The ground stratum is generally dominated by Lomandra longifolia and Carex appressa but other sedges, reeds and rushes such as Schoenus apogon, Carex gaudichaudiana, Carex lobolepis, Juncus continuus, Eleocharis acuta, Eleocharis atricha, Typha domingensis and Phragmites australis can also be abundant. Geranium neglectum, Dichondra repens and various grasses are also often present in higher parts. Occurs along major watercourses in granite landscapes. Riverine. (BVG1M: 16d).
