Short description Banksia integrifolia and/or Corymbia tessellaris and/or Acacia disparrima +/- rainforest spp. tall shrubland, on Holocene parabolic dunes
Structure code Tall Shrubland
Description Banksia integrifolia subsp. compar and/or Corymbia tessellaris and/or Acacia disparrima subsp. disparrima shrubland to open forest. Includes small areas of rainforest, and often occurs as a very fine mosaic with patches of Banksia integrifolia/Allocasuarina littoralis, Casuarina equisetifolia and bare sand. Common to occasional associated species may include Livistona decora, Jasminum simplicifolium, Cupaniopsis anacardioides, Leptospermum neglectum, Acacia julifera and Jagera pseudorhus var. pseudorhus. The sparse ground layer may include Imperata cylindrica, Heteropogon triticeus, Eragrostis interrupta and Dianella caerulea. Occurs on Holocene parabolic dunes. Not a Wetland. (BVG1M: 9e).

Fire management guidelines INTERVAL: Fire return interval not relevant. INTERVAL_MIN: 100. INTERVAL_MAX: 100. STRATEGY: Do not deliberately burn frontal dune communities and only burn adjacent fire adapted ecosystems under conditions with low risk of fire penetrating; especially the rainforest and Casuarina equisetifolia pockets. ISSUES: Address weed issues immediately to prevent fire incursions.
