This site allows you to find species information such as species names, notes and images for Queensland’s native and naturalised plants and animals from the WildNet database.
You can also download species records in a number of formats.
You can search for individual plant or animal species or you can use the browse feature to list species within a family.
To locate a species select the relevant kingdom and enter all or part of the common name or scientific name and click the search button.
A search of animals named ‘bat’ will return species with names including ‘bat’, ‘wombat’ and ‘Vombatus’
