- Description
- Euphrasia bella is an erect, perennial herb growing 9-30cm high. The branches are covered with short hairs and the younger growth is usually covered with longer hairs. The leaves are elliptic, egg- or spatula-shaped in outline, measure 8.5-12.5mm long by 3.4-5.4mm wide and usually with 2 or 3 pairs of teeth along the margin. The leaves are more or less stalked.
Each stem usually has 6-36 flowers. The tubular flowers are 9-15mm long and lobed at the opening. They are mauve or blue coloured and have a yellow blotch on the lower lip. The capsules are 6.5-8.2mm long and hairless. (Barker 2008; DEWHA 2008) - Map

- Distribution
- Euphrasia bella is found near Mt Barney and in the McPherson Range, south-east Queensland, near the Queensland - New South Wales border. It is also found in northern New South Wales. (DEWHA 2008; Herbrecs 2008)

- Habitat
- Euphrasia bella grows near the edge of exposed cliffs, among moss, rock slabs and on shallow basalt soils. It occurs in cool-temperate rainforest, low heathland and shrubland with an open grassy understorey. (Barker 2008; DEWHA 2008)
