- Habitat
- Cycas candida occurs in open grassy woodland and eucalypt forest. It grows on sandy loam soils, on hill slopes and among granite rocks. (Hill 2004; Herbrecs 2008)
- Reproduction
- Male cones shed pollen and megasporophylls are receptive in November. Pollination is effected by small beetles that exist in an obligate mutualism with the cycad. Frequent fires have the potential to disrupt the reproduction of Cycas candida. (Hill 2004)
