- Description
- Commersonia pearnii is a shrub 30-100cm tall. The branchlets are covered in dense, star-shaped, pale yellow hairs. The leaves are oblong to ovate in shape, 1.4-5cm long by 0.8-1.6cm wide, and have undulating margins of 5-7 rounded lobes 1-10mm long. The veins are raised on the lower leaf surface and impressed on the upper surface. The leaves have a waxy, greyish-blue appearance with velvety star-shaped hairs on both the upper and lower leaf surfaces.
Flower clusters contain 3-8 flowers. The white, cream or pale green flowers are 4-5mm in diameter and on stalks 0.5-0.8mm long. The outside of the buds and stalk are covered in star-shaped, pale yellow hairs. The capsules and seeds are unknown. (Guymer 2005) - Map
