- Description
- Brachychiton sp. (Ormeau L.H.Bird AQ435851) is a member of the bottle tree family, growing up to about 25m high. The trunk is thick, cylindrical and bulbous. Smaller trees have green, striated bark. Mature trees have bark that is fissured, rough and dark in colour. The crown forms a mass of thick green foliage and the fruits are woody follicles. Flowers are greenish coloured and occur in dense clusters at the ends of branches, surrounded by leaves. (Herbecs 2008)

- Range derived from extent of the taxon's verified records
- Habitat
- It occurs in rainforest; notophyll vineforest on steep slopes; on creek banks and alluvial terraces in coarse sands and silts; and on black loam. It has also been recorded in remnant roadside vineforest, in clear areas in rainforest, and in cleared or cultivated farmland. (Herbrecs 2008)
