Establishing stock-proof fencing to preserve Wetlands of National Importance
This project aims to reduce the threat to Piccaninny Plains Wildlife Sanctuary from cattle and feral herbivores. The project intends to establish a 24 km fence along the property’s south-western boundary to prevent the incursion of stock and large feral herbivores, and includes developing baseline datasets by undertaking feral herbivore surveys using two methodologies before and after fence construction.
