Fence and Flow: Protecting Brigalow Belt Watercourse Ecosystems
This project aims to enhance riparian health by preventing livestock access, promoting native vegetation growth and stabilising riverbanks. It seeks to improve water quality by reducing sediment, nutrient and pathogen runoff through livestock exclusion and off-stream watering points. It will promote biodiversity by creating and maintaining healthy habitats for native wildlife in the Brigalow Belt region, and supporting sustainable agriculture by integrating environmentally friendly practices into farming operations. Community engagement is a key focus of the project.
