Whitsunday Marine Debris Clean Up and Prevention Program
This project aims to remove marine debris from coastal waters, beaches, and bushland in the Whitsunday region. This project will identify emerging trends in rubbish and debris through analysis of debris and data collection. It will also contribute to the prevention of litter and marine debris by facilitating educational recycling events, recycle marine debris materials into new reusable products to promote and educate to the community and engage with locals and visitor volunteers to further litter prevention, recycling and care of our natural resources.
