Rubbish Removal in CQ's Remote Regions
This project aims to increase community awareness and involvement in the removal and reduction of marine debris in Central Queensland along the Capricorn Coast through beach clean ups and educational activities. The project will specifically target locations that are remote but are also of environmental significance for shore and migratory bird habitat and turtle nesting beaches, some with limited access to public. Data collected from the clean up events will be uploaded to the Australian Marine Debris Initiative Database (AMDI).
