Cleaner beaches more often: Effective targeting of marine debris hotspots.

This project aims to coordinate volunteers to map debris stranded along 50km of coastline from Caloundra to Sunshine Beach through large-scale debris collection campaigns to assist in identifying hotspots. Workshops to be held with the local community at 11 locations to inform them about the project and present again at the conclusion of the project. Count and sort days will occur and data will be entered into the AMDI. Additional funding was allocated to the project to assist with post flood marine debris clean up activities.
