Habitat Restoration and Roost Protection, threatened bats, Cape York
This project aims to engage volunteers to plant 12,000 trees and weed 5 hectares to restore rainforest continuity in a core foraging area west of Cooktown for the threatened bats, Hipposideros semoni and Rhinolophus robertsi. This project will also investigate probable roost sites and develop strategies for their protection, in particular an isolated limestone karst roost south of Oaky Creek.
