Tamborine Mountain - The Shelf Road Richmond Birdwing Butterfly Project
This project aims to restore 10.5 hectares of abandoned agricultural land on Tamborine Mountain to native sub-tropical rainforest containing significant numbers of Pararistolochia praevenosa mueller, the specific larval food vine of the Richmond Birdwing butterfly. This will be achieved by planting 2,000 plants and 500 Pararsitolochia praevenosa vines, and weeding 5 hectares.
