This project aims to protect approximately 800 hectares of critical nesting habitat for the endangered Golden-shouldered Parrot in Dixie, Cape York by installing 16 kilometeres of cattle exclusion fencing to reduce grazing pressure. This project will also undertake pest management in and outside of the fenced area, map and monitor conical termite mounds used for nesting, and monitor fire management, grass seed availability and breeding success of nesting parrots.
