Finding Ching'ka and Iyipti on Kuuku I'yu Homelands
This project aims to secure the Iyitpi (Cape York Rock-wallaby) and Ching’ka (Northern Quoll) population in the Kaanju Ngaachi Indigenous Protected Area near Lockhart River, by using camera monitoring techniques on 20 sites and creating a data collection program delivered by the local Traditonal Owners community. This project will undertake two surveys that will inform targeted delivery of future fire management and feral animal control.
